Sara Jones (right), general manager of The Mall Epsom, received her SCEPTRE Town-Centre Shopping Centre Manager of the Year trophy from Glenn Macfarlane, chief executive officer of sponsor Photo-Me UK. Footfall at the centre increased by 5.2 per cent in 2002 and the 74 per cent of retailers which participate in the trade index-reporting system achieved an increase of 11 per cent. Jones personally achieved two lettings in units that had been void for over eight years, and The Mall achieved 100 per cent occupancy by December 2002.
