Ballistic Marketing mounted the Nivea for Men Retreat promotion at shopping centres, sporting events and multiple grocers, targeting men between 18 and 34 with an interactive brand experience. A mobile and self-contained trailer unit was themed and decorated to replicate the ideal ‘lad’s’ bedroom, with the core objective of changing men’s attitude towards skincare.
Live product trials and demonstrations of shaves and facials were carried out by qualified beauticians, and an average of 19,000 samples was given away each day. The promotion also achieved an average 26 shaves and facials a day, and research showed high levels of brand switching.
