Bright Lights is Teesside Park’s flagship employment programme supporting local young people who are NEET. Bright Lights 2024 directly supported 22 young people into employment – its best outcome to date.

For Mental Health Awareness Week, Castlepoint launched the Chatty Benches initiative, to help combat loneliness, encourage conversations and promote well-being. Now a permanent fixture, the Chatty Benches show how retail can support connection, well-being and lasting community impact.

Merseyway Shopping Centre worked with community benefit society, Plastic Shed, to create a mural using 80,000 community-donated bottle lids. The mural celebrated Stockport’s landmarks and endangered wildlife, while highlighting the impact of plastic waste.

Not only did Hildred’s Shopping Centre bring the Skegness community together but it also engaged people as far away as Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong, who donated poppies.

Beaumont Shopping Centre continues to collaborate with Forest Way School to provide valuable work experience for young people with autism. It’s an extremely rewarding partnership, supporting students as they take their first steps into the world of work.

With Milton Keynes known as the UK centre of technology, Centre:mk has been working with the local council and Smart City to promote technology to its 22 million guests. Centre:mk provided a space to educate people about autonomous vehicles and delivery robots.

Stuart’s vision for The Brewery was to create more than just a shopping centre – instead he wanted it to be a community hub focused on wellbeing to make a positive impact. A key achievement has been building a relationship with Romford boxer Johnny Fisher and hosting free community events with him.

Gavin has transformed 17 & Central into a thriving retail and community hub through strategic leadership. Under Gavin’s direction, the centre has 100% occupancy, while commercial income has surged by 23%.

To say that Robin goes ‘above and beyond’ in his role is probably a bit of an understatement since he has received a Royal Humane Society award for saving someone’s life. As well as this ‘superhero’ achievement, Robin has done a brilliant job at The Priory, with his people-first approach.

The four-strong Security Team at Longton Exchange consistently go above and beyond their traditional roles. One standout initiative has been to feed homeless people who had previously been going through bins in search of food.
